A new Channel 12 poll published Monday projects Israel’s opposition parties will win a combined 60 seats in the next Knesset, one seat short of a majority, as former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party holds 24 seats and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud goes down to 22 seats.<\/p>\n

The anti-Netanyahu bloc is now one seat short of a majority without including Arab parties, according to the poll. The bloc led by Netanyahu remains at 50, according to the poll \u2013 10 less than the opposition. <\/p>\n

The poll also projects that the Together party, the Democrats and Yisrael Beiteinu each gain seats, holding 15, 11 and 10 seats respectively.<\/p>\n

Otzma Yehudit is strengthening in terms of projected seats and received 8 seats, while United Torah Judaism maintains 8 seats. As predicted in the previous poll, Shas would win seven seats and Religious Zionism would win five. Hadash-Ta’al<\/a> and the United Arab List<\/a> are left with five seats each.<\/p>\n

The poll shows that the centrist party of former ministers Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper, Zionist Home, no longer meets the electoral threshold (2.7 percent), alongside Balad (1.6 percent), Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein’s still-unnamed party (1.3 percent), and Blue and White (0.8 percent).<\/p>\n

The poll was conducted by the Midgam Institute, headed by Mano Geva, among 503 respondents through telephone and online surveys.
