{"id":245985,"date":"2026-08-12T10:05:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T10:05:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/245985\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T10:05:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T10:05:17","slug":"tehran-trabzon-direct-flights-begin-latest-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/245985\/","title":{"rendered":"Tehran-Trabzon direct flights begin &#8211; Latest News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>             TRABZON<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/6a7c35dc466803a6bd63cbbb.jpg\" alt=\"Tehran-Trabzon direct flights begin\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Direct <a title=\"Flights\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/index\/flights\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flights<\/a> between <a title=\"Tehran\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/index\/tehran\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tehran<\/a> and the Black Sea city of <a title=\"Trabzon\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/index\/trabzon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trabzon<\/a> have officially launched, with an inaugural flight of 140 passengers kicking off a new twice-weekly schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, concluding four years of negotiations delayed by regional conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Gen\u00e7 said the route proves the city\u2019s status as a major tourism hub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have historical ties with Iran,\u201d Gen\u00e7 said, noting Trabzon added Tabriz to its sister cities list, joining Rasht and Zanjan.<\/p>\n<p>Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Erkut \u00c7elebi said the first flight arrived at full capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian Consul General in Trabzon Hossein Khosravi said the route meets long-standing demands from Iranian citizens, students and merchants.<\/p>\n<p>Trabzon currently receives direct flights from locations, including Germany, Turkish Cyprus and Egypt.
