{"id":248992,"date":"2026-08-14T14:22:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/248992\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T14:22:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:22:09","slug":"bank-leumi-taps-galaxy-glxy-to-offer-crypto-trading-in-israel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/248992\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank Leumi taps Galaxy (GLXY) to offer crypto trading in Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bank Leumi, Israel\u2019s largest bank, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/bank-leumi-partners-with-galaxy-to-be-the-first-bank-in-israel-to-offer-digital-asset-trading-302851151.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">will offer cryptocurrency trading to customers from early 2027<\/a> becoming the first Israeli bank to announce such a service.<\/p>\n<p>Customers of Leumi and its mobile banking unit, Pepper, will be able to buy, hold and sell bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/price\/bitcoin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BTC$62,564.56<\/a>, ether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/price\/ethereum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ETH$1,866.20<\/a> and solana (SOL) through a section of the Leumi Trade app, according to a Friday announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Galaxy Digital (GLXY) will provide trading and services through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/10\/06\/ex-blockfi-ceo-zac-prince-returns-to-crypto-spotlight-to-lead-galaxy-digital-s-new-banking-platform\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GalaxyOne<\/a> Institutional, its platform for banks and asset managers. Leumi has also signed an agreement to use Galaxy\u2019s custody infrastructure, formerly known as GK8, to support the offering.<\/p>\n<p>The tie-up gives Galaxy a banking partner in Israel and places Leumi among a growing group of financial institutions bringing crypto access inside customer platforms. By embedding trading within its capital-markets app, the bank is betting that clients will favor a regulated banking interface over standalone crypto exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Maya Ravia, Leumi\u2019s head of strategy, described digital assets as an increasingly integral part of the global financial system. Galaxy Israel CEO Lior Lamesh said early movers among banks would help define finance\u2019s shift toward open, programmable infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The companies did not disclose commercial terms, fees or customer eligibility requirements.
