Questioning President Trump over current progress of the deal to end the Iran war<\/p>\n

President Trump says Iran seems unlikely to sign a deal that would end its nuclear program, as Memorandum of Understanding reaches 60-day limit<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump reiterated in the Oval Office on Monday that Iran can not have a nuclear weapon, but says he doesn’t think they’re going to make a deal he thinks is necessary.<\/p>\n

Washington Correspondent Jackie DeFusco asked Trump directly whether he is any closer to making a deal with Iran<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n

The president responded, “Well they want to make a deal, but they’re not gonna make the kind of deal I feel is necessary. Look, we’re in there for one reason, Iran can not have a nuclear weapon.”<\/p>\n

Trump also recently canceled military trainings with South Korea<\/a>, citing a lack of help during the Iran War, along with his ties to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. <\/p>\n

DeFusco asked the president how he responds to concerns he is prioritizing the interests of American adversaries in North Korea over a long-time partner in South Korea.<\/p>\n

Trump responded, “I’m making it much safer, you see, I’m actually making it much safer. Kim Jong Un has always treated me with great respect. We’ve met on numerous occasions actually,” and added, “I understand him, he understands me. You’re doing war games. I get along with him. You know, he didn’t like Biden, he didn’t like Obama, he didn’t like anybody.
