It will convert this byproduct into clean energy to alleviate local power shortages.

Located about 20 kilometers north of Basra near the Iranian border, the Faihaa oil field is operated by Kuwait Energy Basra, a division of Hong Kong-listed United Energy Group.

Iraq seeks to significantly reduce its dependency on imported gas, with the ultimate objective of completely eliminating gas flaring nationally by 2029.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Oil Minister Basim Khudair inaugurated on Friday a new central gas processing plant at…

[14
58627,2032,897,32934,70209,94,70210,10688,6321,14208,70211,70212
post-253968","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-iraq","tag-associated-gas","tag-electricity","tag-gas","tag-gas-flaring","tag-imported-gas","tag-iraq","tag-kuwait-energy-basra","tag-liquefied-petroleum-gas","tag-lpg","tag-power-plants","tag-power-shortages","tag-united-energy-group
["GET
