{"id":255657,"date":"2026-08-19T06:47:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T06:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/255657\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T06:47:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T06:47:09","slug":"shafaq-news-ghalibaf-iraqi-resistance-is-a-force-beyond-iraq-and-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/255657\/","title":{"rendered":"Shafaq News..Ghalibaf: Iraqi resistance is a force beyond Iraq and Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                            2026-08-19T06:14:02+00:00<\/p>\n<p>                                    font<\/p>\n<p>                                            Enable Reading Mode<\/p>\n<p>\n                                        A-<br \/>\n                                        A<br \/>\n                                        A+\n                                    <\/p>\n<p>Shafaq News \u2013Baghdad<\/p>\n<p>Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher<br \/>\nGhalibaf said on Wednesday that Iraqi &#8220;resistance&#8221; \u2014the Iran-aligned<br \/>\narmed factions\u2014 had become a key source of national strength, and its<br \/>\ninfluence reaches beyond Iraq&#8217;s borders.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking alongside Iraqi First Deputy Parliament<br \/>\nSpeaker Adnan Faihan at the site near Baghdad International Airport where a US<br \/>\ndrone strike in January 2020 killed Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani and<br \/>\nAbu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy chief of the Popular Mobilization Forces,<br \/>\nGhalibaf said the resistance now carried weight beyond Iraq and Iran, giving it<br \/>\nregional and global reach.<\/p>\n<p>Ghalibaf said his visit came as &#8220;a new<br \/>\nregional order takes shape,&#8221; stressing the need for stronger cooperation<br \/>\namong the region&#8217;s states without foreign interference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIslamic countries should expand cooperation<br \/>\nacross all sectors and deepen their ties, particularly in the economic sphere,<br \/>\nand Tehran is ready to strengthen economic cooperation,\u201d he added. &#8220;The bonds linking the Iraqi and Iranian<br \/>\npeoples are historical and deeply rooted between two neighbors joined by<br \/>\nunbreakable ties.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>An informed source\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/Iraq\/SCOOP-Iranian-parliament-speaker-to-visit-Baghdad-Wednesday\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told<\/a>\u00a0Shafaq News that the high-level Iranian delegation led by Ghalibaf would cover political, security, and economic issues.
