Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) \u2013 The President of Iraq\u2019s Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, and the Saudi Justice Minister, Walid al-Samaani, discussed on Wednesday approaches to enhance judicial and legal cooperation between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
During their meeting in Saudi Arabia\u2019s capital, Riyadh, the two sides discussed ways to deepen judicial and legal relations by enhancing cooperation between the institutions of the two countries.<\/p>\n
Zaidan, accompanied by a high-level Iraqi judicial delegation, arrived on Wednesday morning in Riyadh in response to the Saudi Minister of Justice\u2019s official invitation.<\/p>\n
The Iraqi delegation includes the chief prosecutor, the Head of the Judicial Oversight Authority, and the Director of the General Department of Judicial Guards.<\/p>\n
The visit is part of a larger effort to deepen judicial and legal relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, as well as to develop areas of cooperation between the two countries\u2019 relevant institutions.<\/p>\n
Iraq and Saudi Arabia are eagerly enhancing bilateral legal and judicial cooperation through high-level diplomatic visits, institutional coordination, and joint executive training programs to share experience and strengthen cross-border stability.<\/p>\n
Zidan had previously attended formal consultations in Riyadh with Saudi judiciary authorities to improve institutional communication and evaluate mutual security-related court files.<\/p>\n
