In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump warned that this latest operation would be the “most crushing” one ever taken against any country.<\/p>\n

He said that Iran has \u201cfailed to take\u201d the opportunity to make a deal<\/a>, and will be finished with \u201ceconomic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale\u201d. He went on to warn that any country that engages in business with Iran would face “most tremendous economic consequences.”<\/p>\n

He claimed that Iran was \u201con the ropes\u201d and that his \u201chistoric measures\u201d would \u201ccripple\u201d the country. In the same post, Trump repeated the claim that the war has destroyed Iran’s navy and air force<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump maintained that the measures are going to target Iran’s economic lifelines, including oil smuggling networks, financial transfers, exchange houses and front companies. “Oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, front companies — It all needs to stop NOW,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

The American president insisted that the operation would mark an “economic D-Day<\/a>” and urged US allies to join Washington in isolating Iran. “You know who you are. This will be an ECONOMIC D-DAY, and we need all of our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate and defeat the Iran threat. These maniacs are on the ropes, and these HISTORIC MEASURES will cripple them and their ability to project terror worldwide,” Trump said.<\/p>\n

Finally, Trump repeated his ambition that Iran “WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.” It is pertinent to note that the American leader’s latest warning came after he said that the United States had “very draconian sanctions” available against Iran and indicated that further measures could be taken.<\/p>\n

When asked by reporters about possible sanctions and measures against Iran, Trump said: “We have things that we could sanction. We have very draconian sanctions, and we’ll see what happens.” He had also maintained that the Strait of Hormuz<\/a> would remain open and claimed that the US naval blockade had been effective.<\/p>\n
