{"id":257949,"date":"2026-08-20T16:22:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T16:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/257949\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T16:22:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T16:22:21","slug":"israeli-man-from-ramla-disappears-in-japan-missing-for-three-weeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/257949\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli man from Ramla disappears in Japan, missing for three weeks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police asked the public for assistance on Thursday in locating 23-year-old Israeli man Amir Amberber, who has been missing since arriving in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/business-and-innovation\/banking-and-finance\/article-905963\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Japan<\/a> about three weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The Ramla resident left Israel on April 20 and later arrived in Japan on August 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Amberber is described as approximately 1.7 meters tall with a &#8220;thin&#8221; build, brown hair, and black eyes.<\/p>\n<p>The Israeli Consulate in Tokyo and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-906072\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Foreign Ministry<\/a>&#8216;s Israelis in Distress Abroad Department are in contact with Amberber&#8217;s family and are working with Japanese authorities to assist in the search efforts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The police appeal comes as Amberber&#8217;s family has approved making his missing-person status public.<\/p>\n<p>His disappearance follows the recent missing Israelis case involving mother and daughter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-905561\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mali and Liel Yahalomi<\/a>, who were found in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Saturday after being reported missing in Vienna, Austria, earlier in August.<\/p>\n<p>The Israelis were found on an intercity bus in Buenos Aires, according to a report by the Jewish news agency in Argentina, AJN, with N12 News reporting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/article-905594\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">authorities used AI<\/a> to track their whereabouts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">After the two were found, Israel Police released footage of its police representative in South America, Walter Alejandro Kogan, approaching Mali and Liel on the bus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cHi Mali, hi Liel. I\u2019m Walter, the police representative in South America, okay? From the Israel Police Intelligence Division,\u201d said Kogan. \u201cI want to ask you a few questions. We were very worried about you, okay?
