Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) \u2013 Iraq\u2019s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) successfully foiled on Sunday an attack by ISIS terrorists on a military position in the Tuz Khurmatu region in the eastern province of Salah al-Din.<\/p>\n
The raid targeted an isolated outpost belonging to the Commando Regiment of the PMF\u2019s 63rd Brigade.<\/p>\n
ISIS militants launched an armed attack from a mountain, resulting in an intense battle, with loud gunfire and explosions reported by civilians.<\/p>\n
The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) represent a coalition of Shia paramilitary groups that have been officially incorporated into Iraq\u2019s national security forces. This coalition consists of various militias that have ties with Iran.<\/p>\n
