The Israeli military on Monday said<\/a> it found dozens of rifles stored inside two mosques in the Gaza Strip. The caches, which belonged to the Hamas terror group, contained Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, and additional military equipment, according to the Israeli military. Israel characterized the caches as a violation of ceasefire terms and international law. The current Israel-Hamas ceasefire has been in place since October 2025, but Israel recently rejected<\/a> a U.S.-brokered peace plan that would have required Israeli forces to withdraw in stages as Hamas gradually disarmed. Israel said it wouldn\u2019t begin to withdraw troops until Hamas completely gave up its weapons.<\/p>\n The news came after Israeli forces said<\/a> they killed<\/a> four Hamas members in strikes<\/a> over the past two days. One strike killed a commander at a Hamas weapons manufacturing site in Gaza, which was located close to a distribution point for an international aid organization, according to the Israeli military. The military argued that the site\u2019s location showed Hamas was systematically breaching ceasefire agreements while trying to regain military power.<\/p>\n The Palestinian Authority, which oversees the West Bank and claims authority over the Gaza Strip, said<\/a> Monday that Israeli strikes killed at least 15 Palestinians over the past week and injured more. Officials didn\u2019t say whether those killed were members of Hamas. Gaza also continued to face critical shortages of fuel, spare parts, and necessary supplies for agriculture and medicine, the Palestinian Authority said.<\/p>\n
