{"id":268023,"date":"2026-08-28T12:13:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T12:13:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/268023\/"},"modified":"2026-08-28T12:13:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T12:13:12","slug":"rezaei-hormuz-reopening-tied-to-ending-wars-in-gaza-and-lebanon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/268023\/","title":{"rendered":"Rezaei: Hormuz Reopening Tied to Ending Wars in Gaza and Lebanon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islamtimes.com\/en\/news\/1301995\/rezaei-hormuz-reopening-tied-to-ending-wars-in-gaza-and-lebanon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/n01301995-b.jpg\" alt=\"Rezaei: Hormuz Reopening Tied to Ending Wars in Gaza and Lebanon\" title=\"Rezaei: Hormuz Reopening Tied to Ending Wars in Gaza and Lebanon\" class=\"img-responsive\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            Islam Times &#8211; Iran\u2019s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, said the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is closely linked to ending wars across the region, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza.In exclusive remarks to Al-Manar TV, Rezaei stressed that Beirut and its southern suburbs constitute a \u201cred line\u201d for Iran, warning against any move toward the Lebanese capital or its southern suburbs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one has the right to move toward Beirut and the southern suburbs, and therefore we are monitoring and watching the developments with the utmost seriousness,\u201d Rezaei said, warning that any potential war would be different from previous wars.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Rezaei warned that Tehran would respond to any further economic escalation by supporting counter-plans targeting US economic interests across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian similarly said Tuesday that US economic pressure is aimed at subjugating Iran and forcing it to surrender.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a meeting with Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council President Faiq Zidan, Pezeshkian said Iran\u2019s adversaries had recognized their inability to subdue the Iranian people militarily and had therefore shifted toward creating social and economic problems inside the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran will not surrender,\u201d Pezeshkian stressed, rejecting economic pressure as a means of forcing Tehran to submit.
