Kuwaiti air defenses are confronting hostile missile and drone attacks from Iran, the Kuwait Armed Forces<\/a> confirmed in a post on X\/Twitter on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

“Everyone is requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities,” the post added.<\/p>\n

Local sources told IRIB that a US base in Kuwait had been struck, claiming that smoke was rising from the site. Neither the US nor Kuwait have confirmed such reports.<\/p>\n

The Kuwait Armed Forces said in their post on X, “If \u00a0explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.”<\/p>\n

Shortly after the US strikes began on Tuesday night, Iranian military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari<\/a> stated that Iran \u201cwill no longer exercise restraint regarding Bahrain and Kuwait\u201d in a post on X\/Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cGifts are on the way,\u201d Zolfaghari warned.<\/p>\n

Iran launched retaliatory strikes on US bases in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, following the US’s renewal of strikes<\/a> against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Sirens sounded in Kuwait as the country’s air defenses confronted attacks by hostile drones, “following the sinful Iranian aggression,” Kuwait’s army said in a post on X on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

Sirens also sounded in Bahrain on Wednesday morning following the Iranian threats, with the Bahraini Interior Ministry announcing “an alert of potential threat” in the country.
