The death toll from Israeli regime attacks on Lebanon since October 2023 has reached 8,920, with 30,595 people injured, according to figures released by Lebanon\u2019s Ministry of Public Health on Saturday.The figures include 4,358 deaths and 12,359 injuries recorded since March 2, when the Israeli regime sharply intensified its attacks on Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a Health Ministry report published Wednesday said Israeli attacks had targeted ambulance crews 179 times since March 2, killing 135 healthcare workers.<\/p>\n<p>The date marked the beginning of the latest escalation in the Israeli regime\u2019s war on Lebanon, following an Israeli strike on Beirut that killed 31 people.<\/p>\n<p>According to the UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency, 360,000 people remained displaced by Israeli aggression in August, including at least 22,000 people living in collective shelters.<\/p>\n<p>The figures come amid continued Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon despite two US-brokered \u201cpeace\u201d agreements signed in June.<\/p>\n<p>The Israeli regime has maintained its military occupation of southern Lebanon since March, when it announced the establishment of a \u201cbuffer\u201d zone.<\/p>\n<p>The June 26 framework agreement was contingent on Hezbollah\u2019s disarmament, but Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem rejected it as \u201cnull and void\u201d and demanded that Israel first end its occupation.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement did not specifically require the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest attacks, an Israeli airstrike on Kfar Reman in southern Lebanon on Friday killed three people and injured 23 others.<\/p>\n<p>The Israeli military claimed it had cleared Hezbollah fighters from tunnels beneath the strategic Ali al-Taher bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Lebanon\u2019s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli raids and artillery shelling also targeted seven towns in the Tyre and Nabatieh districts on Friday, with no casualties reported.<\/p>\n<p>Early Sunday, Israeli warplanes bombed Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in southern Lebanon.&#13;\n  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Islam Times &#8211;
