Speaking to<br \/>\nShafaq News, Salah Mahdi, director of the Iraqi High Commission for Human<br \/>\nRights (IHCHR) office in Diyala, said that power is currently available for<br \/>\nabout one hour followed by two hours of outages, leaving air-conditioning systems<br \/>\nidle and slowing administrative work amid high temperatures.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1788950222282.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Employees at some departments have pooled money to<br \/>\npurchase generator fuel, Mahdi added, but rising prices and scarce availability<br \/>\nhave made the arrangement increasingly difficult to sustain. He warned that<br \/>\npublic services could face further setbacks without additional supplies and<br \/>\nfinancial allocations.<\/p>\n<p>The Oil Ministry attributed the <a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/society\/Regional-tensions-delay-Iraq-gasoline-imports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shortages<\/a> on Friday to<br \/>\ndelayed gasoline shipments caused by regional tensions that disrupted tanker<br \/>\nmovements, compounding a gap between domestic production and consumption.
