\n\tDuring the reception, Al-Sharaa emphasized that Newroz is a national holiday that reflects the unique cultural identity of the Kurdish people within the unified Syrian fabric.<\/p>\n
\n\tHe stressed that the rights of Kurdish citizens are \u201cauthentic and inherent,\u201d and that Syria\u2019s cultural diversity is a primary source of national strength rather than a point of division.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe president also reiterated the state\u2019s commitment to the comprehensive development of the eastern region.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe attendees expressed their deep appreciation for Presidential Decree No. 13 of 2026, which formally recognized Kurdish identity, restored citizenship to those affected by the 1962 census, and designated the Kurdish language as a national language.<\/p>\n
\n\tThey affirmed their commitment to national unity and the principle of partnership, stressing that the monopoly on arms must remain solely with the state institutions.
