“Iran-aligned militias\u201d are using Iraqi territory to launch
\nattacks against neighboring countries, Jordan\u2019s government spokesperson,
\nMinister Mohammad Al-Momani, said on Friday, calling on Iraq to put an end to
\nthese operations.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Al-Arabiyya, Al-Momani stated that
\nJordan<\/a> continues to defend its airspace against what he described as Iranian
\nviolations, adding that Amman is assessing how to handle Iran\u2019s diplomatic
\nmission in a way that serves national interests. <\/p>\n

On Thursday, Iraq\u2019s Foreign Ministry<\/a> reaffirmed Baghdad\u2019s
\ncategorical rejection of any attacks targeting Gulf countries and Jordan,
\nstressing that \u201cany party possessing evidence should present it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The exchange follows a joint statement<\/a> issued a day earlier
\nby Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan,
\nurging the Iraqi government to take measures to stop attacks carried out by
\nIraqi armed factions against neighboring states.<\/p>\n

Since the outbreak of the conflict with Iran on February 28,
\nseveral Iraqi factions operating under what is known as the \u201cIslamic
\nResistance\u201d have escalated their involvement, carrying out dozens of attacks
\ntargeting US positions inside Iraq as well as in several Gulf countries and Jordan,
