Iraq\u2019s Ministry of Trade said
\non Tuesday that food basket distributions are continuing uninterrupted, citing
\nsufficient reserves to stabilize markets and meet emergency demand.<\/p>\n
The ministry indicated that deliveries
\nare being carried out across all provinces to limit price fluctuations and
\nsupport food security. Ten full food basket cycles and 10 flour rations were
\ndistributed last year, it added, noting the same pace will continue under the
\ngovernment\u2019s program.<\/p>\n
Authorities are maintaining
\noversight of storage and delivery to ensure supplies reach eligible recipients
\nand meet domestic demand, it said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Ministry of
\nAgriculture has reopened imports for five crops \u2013cabbage, cauliflower, turnip,
\nbeetroot, and lettuce\u2013 after the end of the local production season, citing
\ndeclining domestic supply and approval from the Ministerial Council for the
\nEconomy.<\/p>\n
