An Iranian military spokesperson on Thursday asserted that Tehran retains undisclosed stockpiles of weapons and munitions, seeking to counter claims by US President Donald Trump that American strikes had crippled Iran\u2019s defence capabilities. The remarks come as a pushback against Trump\u2019s warning that the US could send Iran ‘back to the Stone Age’<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, speaking on behalf of the Iranian military\u2019s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said the facilities targeted in recent attacks were \u201cinsignificant\u201d and had no impact on Iran\u2019s strategic military production.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe centres you think you have targeted are insignificant, and our strategic military productions take place in locations of which you have no knowledge and will never reach,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n

“Your intelligence on our military power and equipment is incomplete. You know nothing of our vast strategic capabilities. Do not assume you have destroyed our strategic missile production sites, long-range attack and precision drones, modern air-defence systems, electronic warfare, or special equipment,” the statement claimed.<\/p>\n

He added, “The sites you think you hit are insignificant; our strategic military production takes place at locations you do not know about and will never reach. Do not bother trying to count our missiles, drones, and strategic systems; you will be wrong and achieve nothing”.<\/p>\n

The response from Tehran comes after Trump said US forces would continue to strike Iran \u201cvery hard\u201d over the next two to three weeks, if no deal is reached, claiming that American operations had already met or exceeded their objectives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks,\u201d Trump said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Iran\u2019s army chief, Major General Amir Hatami, issued a stark warning, saying any potential US ground incursion would be met with overwhelming force. \u201cNot a single person\u201d among invading troops would survive, he said in remarks broadcast on state television, adding that national security must be restored for civilians.<\/p>\n

The war continues to intensify in the Middle East<\/a>, with Israel and the United States striking scores of targets across Iran as well as in Lebanon, including military bases and missile infrastructure. Though Iranian missile fire has declined in recent days, they continue to attack Israel and US bases and interests in the Gulf.<\/p>\n

Trump did not outline any diplomatic pathway or refer to earlier timelines related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments. He has previously warned of targeting Iran\u2019s energy infrastructure if the waterway remains disrupted.<\/p>\n

The conflict shows no immediate signs of easing, with Washington signalling the possibility of further strikes even as Trump has suggested the US could exit the war soon. Tehran, meanwhile, has claimed it is prepared for a prolonged confrontation.<\/p>\n
