China&#8217;s leading contract chip manufacturer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/981-HK\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Semiconductor Manufacturing International<\/a>, jumped more than 10%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Japanese semiconductor equipment maker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/8035.T-JP\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tokyo Electron<\/a> climbed 9.6%.\u00a0<a id=\"107376788\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/\" type=\"security\" brand=\"cnbc\" section=\"[object Object]\" contentclassification=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Advantest<\/a> jumped over 13%, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/6723.T-JP\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Renesas Electronics<\/a>, a key <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/NVDA\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nvidia<\/a> supplier, added 12%. Electrical equipment company\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/5803.T-JP\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fujikura<\/a> rose 11.58%.<\/p>\n<p>South Korean memory chip leader SK Hynix surged more than 15%, while Samsung Electronics advanced more than 9%.
