HUNT VALLEY, Md. (TNND) \u2014 The U.S. will demand during its negotiations with Iran this weekend that it end its nuclear program, Vice President JD Vance said Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He told reporters before leaving Hungary, where he campaigned for Prime Minister Viktor Orb\u00e1n\u2019s reelection, that the Trump administration will insist that Tehran hand over its ingredients for nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat the president has said is that we don\u2019t want Iran to have the capacity to build a nuclear weapon. The president\u2019s also said that we don\u2019t want Iran enriching towards a nuclear weapon, and we want Iran to give up the nuclear fuel,\u201d Vance said. \u201cThose are gonna be our demands during the negotiation, and again, we\u2019re gonna see what the Iranians are willing to give up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tehran has released a 10-point proposal for its negotiations with the U.S. delegation, which includes Vance and envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kusner. The plan asserts Iran\u2019s right to enrich uranium, which has civil and military uses, and calls for an end to the war<\/a>, among other demands.<\/p>\n
