{"id":61571,"date":"2026-04-10T23:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T23:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/61571\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T23:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T23:02:09","slug":"starmer-says-nato-in-uss-interests-as-gulf-tour-ends-national-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/61571\/","title":{"rendered":"Starmer says NATO in US&#8217;s &#8216;interests&#8217; as Gulf tour ends | National News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British Prime Minister Keir Starmer insisted on Friday that NATO was &#8220;in America&#8217;s interests&#8221;, at the end of a three-day visit to the Gulf to discuss bolstering the &#8220;fragile&#8221; Middle East truce.<\/p>\n<p>Starmer&#8217;s comments followed US President Donald Trump&#8217;s renewed attacks this week on the Western military alliance and his threats to withdraw from it, after a refusal by NATO allies to join the US-Israel war against Iran.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is in America&#8217;s interests.
