{"id":63814,"date":"2026-04-12T15:01:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T15:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/63814\/"},"modified":"2026-04-12T15:01:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T15:01:08","slug":"us-iraqi-armed-groups-agree-to-mutual-military-suspension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/63814\/","title":{"rendered":"US, Iraqi armed groups agree to mutual military suspension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                            2026-04-12T14:40:39+00:00<\/p>\n<p>                                    font<\/p>\n<p>                                            Enable Reading Mode<\/p>\n<p>\n                                        A-<br \/>\n                                        A<br \/>\n                                        A+\n                                    <\/p>\n<p>Shafaq News- Baghdad<\/p>\n<p>The Shiite Coordination Framework (CF), Iraq\u2019s largest<br \/>\nparliamentary bloc, has reached a conditional truce between Iraqi armed<br \/>\nfactions and the United States, an official told Shafaq News on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Amer al-Fayez, head of the Tasmeem Alliance and<br \/>\npart of the CF, the <a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/Iraq\/Iraq-s-CF-seeks-temporary-truce-between-IRI-and-US-forces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">committee<\/a> previously formed by the bloc and chaired by Hadi<br \/>\nAl-Amiri, leader of the Badr Organization, secured an understanding under which<br \/>\nIraqi factions will suspend military activities against US interests in Iraq<br \/>\nand the region, while the US will halt its attacks on sites linked to Iraq\u2019s<br \/>\nIslamic Resistance (IRI) and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), a<br \/>\nstate-affiliated paramilitary network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspension could extend beyond the two-week truce<br \/>\nsigned between the US and Iran,\u201d he added, noting that the military operations<br \/>\ncould come to a complete halt.<\/p>\n<p>Since February 28, IRI-affiliated factions such as Kataib<br \/>\nHezbollah and Harakat Al-Nujaba have claimed nearly 450 attacks targeting US<br \/>\nmilitary facilities across Iraq and the wider region, describing the operations<br \/>\nas part of a broader campaign tied to the US-Israeli war on Iran.
