(WCAX) &#8211; Average gas prices nationwide dropped slightly from last week despite uncertainty abroad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to AAA, the national average on Monday was $4.04 per gallon. Vermont\u2019s average matched the national price. New Hampshire\u2019s average was a little lower, at $3.92 per gallon. New York\u2019s average was a bit higher, at $4.10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Around Vermont, Bennington had the cheapest gas at $3.98 per gallon. Essex had the most expensive gas in the state at $4.20 per gallon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In New Hampshire, Strafford County had the cheapest gas at $3.88 a gallon. Cheshire County was the most expensive, at $3.98, on par with Vermont\u2019s lowest price.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In New York, Washington County had the cheapest gas in our region at $4.07 a gallon.
