However, according to The Indian Express, Trump is warning that \u201clots of bombs will start going off\u201d if no deal is made by the time the ceasefire expires by Wednesday evening, Washington time.<\/p>\n<p>Trump added that it is \u201chighly unlikely\u201d he would extend the deadline further. \u201cIf there\u2019s no deal, I would certainly expect\u2026\u201d Trump, in an interview with Bloomberg, said he was \u201cnot going to be rushed into making a bad deal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got all the time in the world,\u201d Trump added. The US President previously threatened to bomb Iranian bridges and power plants if no peace deal is made.<\/p>\n<p>Trump told PBS News, \u201cI don\u2019t know. I mean, they\u2019re supposed to be there. We agreed to be there, although they say we didn\u2019t. But no, it was set up. And we\u2019ll see whether or not it\u2019s there. The outlet reported that Vance was waiting for Iran to send word that the talks were on. Trump\u2019s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are also likely to accompany Vance to Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>According to the BBC, Vance spent the night in Washington on Monday. Sources told CNN that a second round of talks between the US and Iranian delegations is currently slated for Wednesday. A source told the outlet that a US delegation led by Vance would head to Pakistan \u201csoon\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Pakistan is still preparing for talks. The capital of Islamabad is dotted with security checkpoints and \u201cIslamabad Talks\u201d posters lining the streets. According to reports, Pakistan has deployed nearly 20,000 security personnel across Islamabad. Ghalibaf, the country\u2019s top negotiator, warned that Tehran is prepared to intensify its actions if negotiations are held \u201cunder the shadow of threats\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/explainers\/israel-lebanon-10-day-ceasefire-significance-iran-talks-explained-14001382.html\" id=\"https:\/\/www.firstpost.com\/explainers\/israel-lebanon-10-day-ceasefire-significance-iran-talks-explained-14001382.html\" class=\"body_anchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cTrump, by imposing a siege and violating the ceasefire,<\/a> seeks to turn this negotiating table, in his own imagination, into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering,\u201d Ghalibaf wrote on X. \u201cWe do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats, and in the past two weeks, we have prepared to reveal new cards on the battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reuters reported that while Tehran is considering attending the proposed talks in Pakistan, no final decision has been taken. Moshiri said that hardliners are pressuring Ghalibaf and others to favour conflict. She said a power struggle is occurring behind the scenes and that much of what is being said publicly could be political bluster.<\/p>\n<p>However, Moshiri cautioned that no one knows for sure if the peace talks will actually happen.<\/p>\n<p>Some are laying the blame at Trump\u2019s doorstep<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Iranians didn\u2019t appreciate POTUS negotiating through social media and making it appear as if they had signed off on issues they hadn\u2019t yet agreed to, and ones that aren\u2019t popular with their people back home,\u201d a person familiar with the matter told CNN.
