DENNIS RODMAN FLIES TO TEHRAN UNINVITED TO NEGOTIATE PEACE — IRAN AGREES TO A MEETING, WHICH CONCERNS EVERYONE<\/p>\n
Chicago, IL — Dennis Rodman, 64, boarded a flight to Tehran Tuesday without notifying the State Department, his management team, or anyone who might have asked questions, landing at 6 AM local time and telling reporters at the gate that he was ‘here to do what governments can’t do because they think too much.’<\/p>\n
The State Department issued a statement asking Americans to avoid the region. Rodman had already cleared customs.<\/p>\n

Iran agreed to meet with him. A senior foreign ministry official confirmed a meeting had been scheduled for Thursday at a location described as ‘informal but official’ which diplomatic sources translated as ‘they are genuinely curious and also nobody told them they could say no.’<\/p>\n
Rodman’s stated diplomatic strategy includes:<\/p>\n
‘I am going to look them in the eye and tell them what I see. I have done this before. It worked.’<\/p>\n

‘Kim Jong Un took my calls. These guys will too once they know I am serious.’<\/p>\n
‘I have a gift. It is a signed jersey. It is a good gift. It always works.’<\/p>\n
The State Department’s concern level is described as ‘high.’ Iran’s curiosity level is described as the same.<\/p>\n
He flew to Tehran uninvited. They agreed to meet him.<\/p>\n
