(WCAX) &#8211; Lebanon\u2019s police chief is expressing frustration with the court system for slow-walking paperwork for some criminal cases, putting police at further risk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lebanon officers were investigating a home on Eldridge Street for suspected drug activity. They eventually got probable cause for a warrant on Friday and found drugs, cash, and firearms inside. Multiple people were arrested on various charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lebanon Chief Phil Roberts says the incident underscores ongoing challenges within the criminal justice system, where individuals facing significant felony charges are released and continue to engage in criminal activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOne of these particular individuals that had numerous outstanding felony warrants hadn\u2019t been entered into the system, and his warrant had been in effect and issued by a judge about a week prior. So, that just really creates an unnecessary risk for law enforcement,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The New Hampshire Judicial System did not respond to a request for comment about the chief\u2019s concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WCAX.
