(Provided photo)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince opening in 2016 as the county\u2019s first integrated cancer center, the Sechler Family Cancer Center has been grounded in a simple but powerful belief: every family deserves access to world\u2011class cancer care close to home,\u201d the center said in a press release. \u201cBy intentionally bringing medical oncology, radiation, infusion, nutrition, navigation, social work, spiritual care and support services under one roof, the center was designed to ease the burden of cancer care and surround patients with support at every step.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the celebration on April 10, speakers reflected on the \u201cthousands of lives touched\u201d over the past decade and the people who made that impact possible, including dedicated clinicians and staff, generous supporters, and community partners such as Bell &amp; Evans and the Sechler family.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"621\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-291367 perfmatters-lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Sechler-Cancer-Center_Anniversary-Celebration_4.10.26_010-1024x621.jpg\"  data-\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\tDr. Nikhilesh Korgaonkar, vice president of WellSpan Health and chief medical officer for the WellSpan Cancer Institute, speaks at a recent celebration marking 10 years of service in Lebanon County by the WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center. (Provided photo)<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nikhilesh Korgaonkar, vice president of WellSpan Health and chief medical officer for the WellSpan Cancer Institute, said the cancer center \u201cis more than a building or a program \u2014 it\u2019s a promise to this community. It\u2019s a promise that you don\u2019t have to leave home to receive exceptional cancer care. It\u2019s a promise that you can be surrounded by your family, your support system and your community during one of the most difficult times in your life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat makes this place so special is not just what we do, but how we do it. Care here is delivered as a team \u2014 medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pharmacy, nutrition, navigation and social work, among others. We\u2019re not separate services working in parallel; we\u2019re one team, working together, communicating, supporting one another, and most importantly, supporting every patient who walks through our doors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Korgaonkar also recognized WellSpan\u2019s partnership with Johns Hopkins Medicine, which expands access to subspecialty expertise, collaborative tumor boards, clinical trials and telehealth second opinions \u2014 bringing advanced cancer care to Lebanon County without patients having to travel far.<\/p>\n<p>Jim Stuccio, senior vice president of WellSpan\u2019s East Region, emphasized cancer care as a cornerstone of WellSpan\u2019s mission and recognized Bell &amp; Evans president Scott Sechler and his family for their \u201cextraordinary generosity and leadership.\u201d Inspired by personal experience, Sechler\u2019s support \u2014 including funds raised through the Bell &amp; Evans golf tournament \u2014 helped make the Sechler Family Cancer Center a reality and inspired others to give.<\/p>\n<p>The event concluded with reflections from Sechler, who expressed pride in the care available in Lebanon County and gratitude for the clinicians and staff whose compassion makes a difference every day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re blessed with success at Bell &amp; Evans and fortunate to be able to give back to our community in impactful ways,\u201d Sechler said in a statement. \u201cWe stay committed to supporting the Sechler Family Cancer Center.
