{"id":80535,"date":"2026-04-23T20:02:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T20:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/80535\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T20:02:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T20:02:07","slug":"agreement-on-new-prime-minister-nears-decision-expected-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/80535\/","title":{"rendered":"Agreement on new prime minister nears, decision expected soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                            2026-04-23T19:36:11+00:00<\/p>\n<p>                                    font<\/p>\n<p>                                            Enable Reading Mode<\/p>\n<p>\n                                        A-<br \/>\n                                        A<br \/>\n                                        A+\n                                    <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shafaq News- Baghdad<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ongoing talks to select a new prime minister have led to<br \/>\n\u201cimportant understandings\u201d to resolve disputes, Amer al-Fayez, a senior figure<br \/>\nin Iraq\u2019s Coordination Framework (CF), told Shafaq News on Thursday, expecting<br \/>\na decision about this issue within hours. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The negotiations among political forces have made progress toward<br \/>\nnarrowing differences, he added. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to multiple political sources cited by Shafaq<br \/>\nNews, preliminary agreements include the distribution of key ministries such as<br \/>\noil, education, higher education, defense, finance, electricity, and foreign<br \/>\naffairs, based on the size and influence of parliamentary blocs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abdulrahman al-Jazaeri, head of the political body of the<br \/>\nTribal National Movement, affirmed to Shafaq News that alternative scenarios<br \/>\nare being considered if consensus fails. \u201cThese include a constitutional<br \/>\nappointment by the president, referring the issue to the Federal Supreme Court,<br \/>\nor forming an emergency government,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CF had initially scheduled a decisive meeting last<br \/>\nSaturday to finalize its nominee, but postponed it to Monday.
