The war in West Asia will soon complete two months despite a fragile ceasefire with no end in sight.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s 3 conditions for opening Hormuz<\/p>\n<p>Tehran has reportedly offered to reopen the critical maritime chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz if Washington lifts its blockade on the country and its ports and end the war in West Asia, while offering that discussions on the nuclear programme would come in a later phase.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyloading\" data-lazy-type=\"lazyloading-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/track_1x1.jpg\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/iran\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/track_1x1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1px\" height=\"1px\" style=\"display:none;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>According to an AP report which quoted two regional officials, US President <a rel=\"noamphtml nofollow noopener\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/about\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a> is unlikely to accept Tehran\u2019s offer which was passed to American side by Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The US blockade, which the Iran has sought to lift, is focused on preventing Tehran from selling its oil, in order to deprive the Islamic nation of its crucial revenue. Washington is also eyeing to potentially create a situation where Iran would be forced to shut its production as there\u2019ll be nowhere to store the oil, AP reported.<\/p>\n<p>Araghchi meets Putin in Russia<\/p>\n<p>The development comes as Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Russian President <a rel=\"noamphtml nofollow noopener\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/about\/vladimir-putin\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vladimir Putin<\/a> on Monday in St Petersburg to gather support, Russian state news agency Tass said.
