While condemning the US and Israeli strikes on Iran as violations of the UN Charter, he pointedly declared that \u201cChina does not go along with Iran\u2019s attacks on Gulf states and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">He added that China hoped \u201cpeace and stability will be restored to the strait as soon as possible and navigation will resume\u201d, while urging Iran to halt attacks on \u201crelevant facilities\u201d in the Persian Gulf and restore normal navigation.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">These statements mark some of Beijing\u2019s most direct public distancing from Iran\u2019s retaliatory actions during the conflict.
