The Iraqi Prime Minister-designate, Ali Al-Zaidi, has formed
\ntwo teams to draft the government program and select the ministerial cabinet, a
\nmember of Iraq\u2019s Coordination Framework, Abu Methaq al-Masari, told Shafaq News
\non Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Al-Masari noted that Al-Zaidi revealed the step during a
\nvisit to Hadi al-Ameri, Secretary General of the Badr Organization, describing
\nthe Coordination Framework\u2019s nomination of Al-Zaidi as serious and official.
\n\u201cAl-Zaidi\u2019s meetings with bloc leaders on Wednesday reflect his intent to
\naccelerate government formation,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
Separately, a political source told Shafaq News that the
\ndistribution of ministries will be based on a points system tied to
\nparliamentary representation. \u201cService ministries will require no fewer than 10
\nparliamentary seats, while sovereign ministries will require more than 15
\nseats,\u201d he explained, clarifying that the allocation of independent bodies
\n\u201cwill be determined after the cabinet formation is completed.\u201d <\/p>\n
