Shafaq News- Baghdad<\/p>\n

Iraq\u2019s Shiite Coordination Framework (CF), the largest bloc in
\nparliament, held its first meeting on Thursday with Prime Minister-designate
\nAli al-Zaidi to review progress on forming the new government, according to a
\nstatement.<\/p>\n

The meeting, attended by caretaker Prime Minister Mohammed Shia
\nal-Sudani and hosted by Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri,
\naddressed political, security, and economic developments, as well as the impact
\nof the regional escalation on Iraq.<\/p>\n

Al-Zaidi outlined initial steps for forming the government and elements
\nof the ministerial program, and referred to a recent phone call<\/a> with US
\nPresident Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Participants also stressed the importance of building state institutions
\non \u201csound foundations\u201d that strengthen Iraq\u2019s authority and sovereignty.<\/p>\n
