Iranian authorities on Saturday executed two men convicted
\nof espionage for Israel\u2019s intelligence service, state-affiliated media reported.\n<\/p>\n
The individuals, identified as Yaqoub Karimpour and Nasser
\nBakrzadeh, were executed by hanging. <\/p>\n
According to judicial documents cited in the reports,
\nKarimpour maintained \u201cactive cooperation\u201d with Mossad during the \u201cimposed war,\u201d
\naccusing him of transmitting sensitive information about the country to an
\nIsraeli intelligence officer.<\/p>\n
Investigations into Bakrzadeh\u2019s activities indicated that he
\ncarried out movements in \u201csensitive areas,\u201d while security agencies reportedly
\nmonitored his actions and communications before arresting him on suspicion of
\nespionage. Documents related to the case stated that Bakrzadeh, acting
\non instructions from a Mossad officer, collected and transmitted information on
\nprominent government, religious, and local figures. He was also accused of
\ngathering intelligence on sensitive locations, including the Natanz nuclear
\nfacility.<\/p>\n
