\n\tIn a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that he would soon examine the plan sent by Iran, but added he \u201ccannot imagine\u201d agreeing to it.<\/p>\n
\n\tFresh strike threat<\/p>\n
\n\tSpeaking briefly to reporters in Florida, Trump also warned that military strikes on Iran could resume if the country \u201cmisbehaves.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cIf they misbehave, if they do something bad\u2026 it\u2019s a possibility that could happen, certainly,\u201d he said, without elaborating on what actions might trigger renewed attacks.<\/p>\n
\n\tWar on pause since April<\/p>\n
\n\tThe conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has reportedly been paused since April 8 after one unsuccessful round of talks in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
\n\tIran has now submitted a revised 14-point proposal through Pakistan, reportedly calling for an end to fighting on all fronts and a new framework governing the vital Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
\n\tTrump: Deal or ‘finish them’<\/p>\n
\n\tTrump had earlier rejected a previous Iranian offer, saying he was \u201cnot satisfied.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cAt this moment, I’m not satisfied with what they’re offering. Do we want to go and just blast the hell out of them and finish them forever \u2014 or do we want to try and make a deal?\u201d he said, adding he would prefer diplomacy \u201con a human basis.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tIran fires back<\/p>\n
\n\tSenior Iranian commander Mohammad Jafar Asadi reportedly said Tehran was fully prepared for any renewed confrontation.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cThe armed forces are fully prepared for any new adventures or foolishness from the Americans,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\n\t\tIran\u2019s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi added: \u201cThe ball is in the United States\u2019 court to choose diplomacy or continue a confrontational approach.\u201d<\/p>\n
