URF and Scandicci Rugby they have in fact signed a collaboration aimed at integrating and strengthening the under-18 team entrusted – as far as the biancorossoviola club is concerned – to the responsibility of the experienced head coach Peppe SorrentinoThe agreement provides for the integration of Scandicci athletes into the Unione Rugby Firenze under-18 squad for joint technical sessions and shared training programs. The goal is to raise the ambitions of youth rugby, especially with a view to participating in the national championship, which last season concluded with a brilliant third-place finish behind two historic rugby clubs, L’Aquila and Parma.
“This alliance represents an important opportunity for both clubs: joining forces means offering our young athletes a broader and more qualified development path. We are convinced that we will be able to raise the competitive level of the Fiorentina Under-18 team by providing the boys with high-profile experiences and formats,” said John Landini, URF vice president. “This agreement makes us proud and represents recognition of the work done and the results achieved by our club at all levels,” he replied.
