Il neozelandese conferma di esprimersi al meglio in questa corsa, riuscendo a trovare il successo dopo il secondo posto dello scorso anno e il terzo nel 2023. Il corridore della <strong>NSN Cycling<\/strong> ha fatto la differenza nello sprint in salita riuscendo a precedere sul traguardo Anders Foldager e il grande favorito Paul Magnier. Un\u2019ottima performance per Strong, che trova la prima vittoria stagionale, dopo i buoni piazzamenti ottenuti al Giro d\u2019Italia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Avevo una buona gamba e questa corsa mi piace<\/strong> \u2013 commenta Strong dopo l\u2019arrivo \u2013 Volevo tornare velocemente dopo il Giro e sono felice di aver potuto vincere qui. \u00c8 un sollievo perch\u00e9 non \u00e8 stato un inizio di stagione facile, visto che non ero in buona forma. Non ho avuto quindi molte opportunit\u00e0. <strong>Vincere qui \u00e8 una sensazione molto bella e significa molto per me<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>La NSN ha approcciato la salita finale ad alto ritmo, per cercare di mettere in difficolt\u00e0 gli altri velocisti, un obiettivo riuscito: \u201c<strong>Volevamo rendere la gara pi\u00f9 dura possibile<\/strong>. In questo finale difficile sapevo che avrei potuto lottare con i migliori, perch\u00e9 anche la stanchezza alle gambe ha iniziato a giocare un ruolo. Avevo puntato al Giro all\u2019inizio di questa stagione e soprattutto alla seconda tappa, in cui la maglia rosa era un obiettivo.
