La ventesima tappa si snoder\u00e0 lungo le strade del Massiccio del Giura, caratterizzate da salite non durissime, ma comunque insidiose e spesso contraddistinte da brevi tratti con pendenza molto pronunciata. Difficile che ci possano essere sconvolgimenti in classifica generale, ma il tracciato disegnato dagli organizzatori, che conta 2900 metri di dislivello positivo complessivo nei 184,2 chilometri tra <strong>Nantua<\/strong> e <strong>Pontarlier<\/strong>, lascia campo libero alla fantasia dei corridori, qualora questa sia poi sostenuta anche da energia e gambe. Si inizia in leggera salita, ma la prima vera ascesa comincer\u00e0 una decina di chilometri dopo la partenza, con il <strong>Col de la Croix de la Serra<\/strong> che, con i suoi 12,1 chilometri al 4,1% (Max. 7,1%) potrebbe rappresentare un ottimo trampolino di lancio per l\u2019eventuale fuga di giornata. La successiva picchiata verso Saint-Claude porter\u00e0 ai piedi della <strong>C\u00f4te de Valfin<\/strong> (5,7 km al 4,2%, max. 6,9%), in cima alla quale la strada continuer\u00e0 a salire per altri undici chilometri circa fino a Ch\u00e2teau-des-Pr\u00e9s prima di puntare prevalentemente verso il basso (alternando per\u00f2 alcuni strappi e falsopiani) per i successivi 60 chilometri, lungo i quali si transiter\u00e0 anche dal traguardo volante di <strong>Chaux du Dombief<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Giunti a Salins-les-Bains inizier\u00e0 quindi la <strong>C\u00f4te de Th\u00e9sy<\/strong> (3,6 km all\u20198,9%, max. 12,9%), piuttosto impegnativa ma scollinata comunque a 62,6 chilometri dalla conclusione, e da qui all\u2019arrivo il tracciato si manterr\u00e0 parecchio nervoso proponendo diversi saliscendi e anche la <strong>C\u00f4te de Longeville<\/strong> (2,5 km al 5,5%, max. 8,1%), dove potrebbe verificarsi la selezione decisiva dato che mancheranno solo 24 chilometri al traguardo di <strong>Pontarlier<\/strong>. La fuga \u00e8 dunque lo scenario pi\u00f9 probabile, considerando che invece a Parigi saranno in molti a volersi giocare le proprie carte, tenendosi vicino tutti i gregari possibili. Si prospetta dunque una giornata di libert\u00e0 per molti corridori, tra i quali potrebbe spiccare <strong>Quinn Simmons<\/strong>, che in questo Tour de France ha dimostrato di avere una gamba eccezionale e che soprattutto nelle salite brevi sa essere uno dei pi\u00f9 pericolosi. Con Milan che dovrebbe vivere una giornata di recupero sostanzialmente visto che ormai la Maglia verde \u00e8 sostanzialmente sua, il campione americano potrebbe avere carta bianca per riprovarci e potrebbe diventare croce e delizia della fuga di giornata.<\/p>\n<p>Come lui sembrano liberi di muoversi <strong>Julian Alaphilippe<\/strong> (Tudor Pro Cycling) e <strong>Wout Van Aert<\/strong> (Visma|Lease a Bike), che come lui hanno speso energie oggi solo nella fase iniziale, per poi tirare i remi in barca e farsi trascinare dalla corrente sino al traguardo, provando a dosare ogni pedalata. Cacciatori di classiche di grande esperienza, entrambi ci hanno provato pi\u00f9 volte in questo Tour, ma sinora senza mai trovare la giornata giusta e questa potrebbe essere l\u2019ultima occasione, visto che Parigi, per quanto adatta a loro, sembra promessa ad altri nomi\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Altri uomini resistenti e veloci sono chiaramente corridori come <strong>Romain Gr\u00e9goire<\/strong> (Groupama-FDJ), che dopo un inizio appariscente si \u00e8 iniziato a vedere meno, avendo meno tappe adatte, un <strong>Axel Laurance<\/strong> (Ineos Grenadiers) che ha faticato a trovare il momento ma di certo non si \u00e8 mai nascosto e un corridore sempre generoso come <strong>Mauro Schmid<\/strong> (Team Jayco AlUla), terzetto che ben si sposa con le caratteristiche della tappa. Come loro corridori come <strong>Simone Velasco<\/strong> (XDS Astana), <strong>Magnus Cort<\/strong> (Uno-X Mobility), <strong>Fred Wright<\/strong> (Bahrain Victorious) e <strong>Thibau Nys<\/strong> (Lidl-Trek), che non hanno avuto molta fortuna nei loro movimenti, ma che hanno le potenzialit\u00e0 per lasciare il segno.<\/p>\n<p>Tra i pi\u00f9 temuti e sicuramente brillanti sinora ci sono <strong>Jonas Abrahamsen<\/strong> (Uno-X Mobility), <strong>Jhonatan Narvaez<\/strong> (UAE Team Emirates XRG) e <strong>Victor Campenaerts<\/strong> (Visma | Lease a Bike), che hanno ampiamente mostrato la loro brillantezza in queste tre settimane e che potrebbero trovare spazio per esprimere le proprie caratteristiche in una tappa in cui non dovrebbero avere nessuno di cui occuparsi. Corridore che a sua volta ha mostrato una ottima forma e la voglia di provarci \u00e8 Ivan Romeo (Movistar), che a sua volta sar\u00e0 presumibilmente tra coloro che vorranno provarci con maggiore insistenza.<\/p>\n<p>Da non escludere la presenza davanti anche di uomini completi come <strong>Matteo Jorgenson<\/strong> (Visma|Lease a Bike), <strong>Luke Plapp<\/strong> (Team Jayco-AlUla) e <strong>Neilson Powless<\/strong> (EF Education \u2013 EasyPost), che essendo lontanissimi in classifica non esiteranno a provarci, cos\u00ec come potrebbe farsi trovare nuovamente davanti il generoso <strong>Bruno Armirail<\/strong> (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale) o un <strong>Alex Aranburu<\/strong> (Cofidis) che non si \u00e8 visto molto ma \u00e8 apparso in crescita. Nella mischia plausibile vedremo anche <strong>Matej Mohoric<\/strong> (Bahrain Victorious), <strong>Kasper Asgreen<\/strong> (EF Education \u2013 EasyPost), <strong>Toms Skujins<\/strong> (Lidl-Trek), <strong>Valentin Madouas<\/strong> (Groupama-FDJ), <strong>Aureli\u00e9n Paret-Peintre<\/strong> (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale), <strong>Pablo Castrillo<\/strong> (Movistar) e <strong>Alexey Lutsenko<\/strong> (Israel \u2013 Premier Tech).<\/p>\n<p>Difficile pensare ad un arrivo di gruppo, ma in quel caso corridori come <strong>Vincenzo Albanese<\/strong> (EF Education \u2013 EasyPost), <strong>Arnaud De Lie<\/strong> (Lotto), <strong>Davide Ballerini<\/strong> (XDS Astana), <strong>Bastien Tronchon<\/strong> (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale), <strong>Anthony Turgis<\/strong> (TotalEnergies) e <strong>Jake Stewart<\/strong> (Israel Premier Tech) potrebbero essere della partita, visto che si presume non debba esserci grande battaglia fra gli uomini di classifica e il ritmo potrebbe essere eventualmente elevato, ma regolare. Occhio a questi nomi comunque anche per una possibile fuga, specialmente se numerosa e magari supportati da compagni pronti a sacrificarsi per farli arrivare allo sprint. La gestione delle energie e delle varie situazioni tattiche che potrebbero svilupparsi sar\u00e0 fondamentale, cos\u00ec come l\u2019attenzione nella guida della bicicletta, dato che i corridori potrebbero trovarsi asfalto bagnato, a pi\u00f9 riprese, sotto le ruote, oltre che la pioggia sopra la testa.
