Princess Catherine loves a colorful suit, and a colorful suit sure loves her. Today, the royal arrived in Reggio Emilia, Italy, for her official solo visit. And she was the picture of class in a sleek powder-blue suit from Canadian-British designer Edeline Lee.

An elongated blazer with sharp shoulders (her favorite style) was paired with high-waisted, straight-leg trousers. Tucked into the pants was a pristine white wrap top, which has a regular rotation around the princess’ wardrobe.

The shirt coordinated with the buttons on the blazer, as well as with the white pearls on Kate’s ears and neck.

A cloudy-blue micro bag from luxury British brand Asprey London, plus her sapphire-and-diamond ring stack, completed the rainbow of blues. Pointy tan heels, meanwhile, brought the cool-tone look back down to earth.

The Princess of Wales is visiting Northern Italy to welcome the international expansion of The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. During her two-day stay, she will explore leading approaches to early childhood development—one of her key causes.

This is Kate’s first overseas royal trip since her cancer scare (she was diagnosed in early 2024 and announced she was in remission in early 2025), and therefore marks a “really significant moment for her,” a royal aide told People.

“[This visit] is an important step in the princess’s recovery journey. She takes great joy from this work,” the source said. “I think it is only right that her first international trip since her illness is one that is focused on an issue that is committed to championing for decades to come and is a real issue that she wants to shine a spotlight on.”
