Catherine was spotted looking as chic as ever, dressed in a cream pinstripe blazer and a slinky, pleated midi skirt. Her hair was styled in soft, loose curls tousled gently in the wind. As for her makeup? It aligns perfectly with Italy’s approach to effortless beauty.
It’s perhaps no surprise that the Princess has slipped so effortlessly back into the Italian way of life, having spent a few months studying in Florence during her gap year. We imagine she’s well-versed with the world of Italian beauty, and to be more precise: la bella figura.

If your Italian is a little rusty, allow us to explain. While la bella figura translates loosely to ‘the beautiful figure’, the phrase is more commonly used to describe the Italian philosophy of presenting oneself with grace and elegance. And of course, the Princess is a picture of just that.
Kate’s makeup feels polished and put-together, yet refined. Her complexion appears softly diffused and beautifully naturale. As for her eyes, she’s stayed true to her signature smoky look — only this time, it’s noticeably softer. A deep taupe shade has been swept across the lids and seamlessly blended out, while just a touch of eyeliner along the lash line adds subtle definition, finished with a generous coat of mascara. A matching lip and blush combo always works
The Princess also embraced a coordinated blush-and-lip combination — an easy way to achieve an instantly elegant yet effortless finish. A soft pink blush was dusted across the apples of her cheeks, while a matching rosy hue was swept across her lips.
