June 17 (Reuters) – Italian digital service company Engineering said on Wednesday it would sell ‌its Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence units to ‌global tech consulting company Accenture.

• No value for the transaction ​was disclosed.

• A source familiar with the matter told Reuters the deal was worth around €900 million ($1 billion).

• Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence respectively offer digital ‌solutions for Italy’s ⁠healthcare and industrial sectors.

• Together they accounted for about 18% of Engineering’s ⁠consolidated net revenue and 25% of adjusted core earnings (EBITDA) in 2025.

• Engineering, jointly controlled by private ​equity firms ​Bain Capital and ​NB Renaissance, reported a ‌2025 adjusted core profit of €280.3 million.

• The transaction will help sharpen Engineering’s focus on its core segments and further accelerate its fast-growing AI offering, the company said.

• Accenture said separately that the ‌two acquisitions were part of ​its strategy of integrating software, ​data and AI ​to accelerate the competitiveness and ‌transformation of Italy’s strategic sectors.

• ​The transactions ​are expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, subject to approvals from ​Italian antitrust ‌and government authorities.($1 = 0.8627 euros)
