Pierre Gasly will lead the F1 field away from pole position after taking an unexpected pole position at the Italian Grand Prix.

After qualifying in third place, Oscar Piastri was punished for impeding Liam Lawson, and has subsequently dropped to sixth.
Championship leader Kimi Antonelli is one of several drivers who have dropped down the order due to an engine penalty, with Mercedes opting to fit a new power unit for the weekend.
Lawson and Williams’ Alex Albon are also due to start at the back of the field, with Lawson being further relegated to the pit-lane on Sunday morning after parc ferme issues, and will be joined there by Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin following engine component changes.
