Aeranti-Corallo, the Italian association representing local radio and television broadcasters, has scheduled its 2026 RadioTV Forum for July 9 in Rome, where policymakers, regulators and industry representatives are expected to discuss the regulatory, technological and economic issues affecting the country’s local broadcasting sector.
The organization said the event will take place at the Confcommercio headquarters and will include participation from senior government and industry figures, including Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and Alberto Barachini, undersecretary to the prime minister with responsibility for publishing.
Aeranti-Corallo said the forum traditionally serves as a platform for institutional dialogue and sector analysis, bringing together stakeholders from across radio and television.
The 2026 edition will also mark the 50th anniversary of a 1976 ruling by Italy’s Constitutional Court, which ended the state monopoly on local over-the-air broadcasting and enabled the development of private local radio and television services.
The organization said the event will conclude with awards recognizing local radio and television companies that have been active since 1976.
