Students represent the Combined Air Operations Centres in Spain, Germany, and Norway, as well as Air Command and various national force elements. This milestone coincides with a renewed focus on collective defence. Unlike training in previous decades that focused on “out-of-area” missions, current iterations prioritize the deterrence and defence of the Euro-Atlantic area.

Reaching this 100th iteration represents over 3,000 NATO officers and non-commissioned officers trained for air command and control duties at this single location. This specific session is the first to be delivered within the DACCC’s newly inaugurated Lotto 4 structures, which provide dedicated operations rooms and a Battle Lab for experimenting with innovative tactics to meet future air domain challenges.

Poggio Renatico in Italy serves as the home of the DACCC, the only NATO entity capable of deploying its own radar and communications equipment to manage air operations directly from the field. The training ensures that when the Alliance conducts complex multinational operations, staff members are synchronized in their language, procedures, and tactical mindset.

The diversity of the 100th course reflects the current geopolitical landscape, drawing 33 participants and mentors from 15…

[2
8424,8411,8420,8419,8414,8421,8422,8413,8416,1176,8417,39,8415,5,1454,8418,8423,8412
0":"post-11313","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-italy","8":"tag-securetheskies","9":"tag-air","10":"tag-air-policing","11":"tag-air-power","12":"tag-aircom","13":"tag-airspace-integrity","14":"tag-airspace-security","15":"tag-alliance","16":"tag-allied","17":"tag-base","18":"tag-command","19":"tag-germany","20":"tag-hq","21":"tag-italy","22":"tag-nato","23":"tag-ramstein","24":"tag-secure-the-skies","25":"tag-space-power
["GET
