Inter Milan claimed the Serie A title for the 21st time on Sunday evening, beating Parma 2\u20130 at San Siro to seal the Scudetto with three matches still to play.<\/p>\n
Marcus Thuram opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time before Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the win ten minutes from time.<\/p>\n
Thuram’s goal came after Piotr Zielinski released him through on goal, with the Frenchman flashing the ball beyond Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.<\/p>\n
Substitute Lautaro Mart\u00ednez then tore down the right flank and squared for Mkhitaryan to apply the finish that confirmed the title.<\/p>\n
Inter had entered the match knowing a point would suffice after second-placed Napoli were held to a 0\u20130 draw at Como on Saturday, and their victory stretched the gap to an unassailable 12 points.<\/p>\n

It is Inter’s third Serie A title in six years, placing them second only to Juventus’s record 36 championships.<\/p>\n
Notably, it was the first time Inter had sealed a title in front of their own fans at San Siro since 1989, nearly four decades ago.<\/p>\n
The triumph marks a superb first season in charge for manager Cristian Chivu, who was appointed last summer after leaving Parma.<\/p>\n
The former Inter defender, who made 168 appearances for the club as a player, has now delivered his first major honour in management. There was a notable symmetry to the occasion: Chivu secured the trophy against the very club he had coached the previous season, having helped Parma avoid relegation.<\/p>\n
Celebrations erupted across Milan after the final whistle, with thousands of supporters flooding into the streets. The Piazza del Duomo was filled with fans clad in black and blue as flares and fireworks lit up the night sky.<\/p>\n
