{"id":14018,"date":"2026-05-08T09:58:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T09:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/italy\/14018\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T09:58:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T09:58:28","slug":"aiva-anagnostiadis-to-race-bmw-in-gt4-italy-series-with-promodrive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/italy\/14018\/","title":{"rendered":"Aiva Anagnostiadis to race BMW in GT4 Italy Series with Promodrive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Teenager Aiva Anagnostiadis, a rising star of Australian motorsport, is hoping to leave a difficult end to 2025 in her rear view as she prepares for her newest challenge in Italy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Anagnostiadis, 18, has been announced as the newest driver for the Promodrive team in the inaugural season of the GT4 Italy Series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Driving a BMW GT4-spec car, Anagnostiadis will take to the Misano World Circuit track in Emilia-Romagna this weekend for the first of the five-round championship.<\/p>\n<p>Loading Instagram content<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The Victorian was one of two Australians, <a class=\"Link_link__kR0xA Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2026-05-08\/paige-raddatz-and-joanne-ciconte-kyojo-cup\/106651506\" data-component=\"Link\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/106651506\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">along with Joanne Ciconte<\/a>, to compete in the F1 Academy championship last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Anagnostiadis became the first Aussie to score points in that championship with an eighth-place finish in the season opener.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">But <a class=\"Link_link__kR0xA Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2026-02-25\/aiva-anagnostiadis-motor-sport-f1-academy-broken-leg\/106380728\" data-component=\"Link\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/106380728\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">injury ended Anagnostiadis&#8217;s season earlier<\/a>, with the teenager missing the final two weekends in Singapore and Las Vegas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">But now she turns her focus away from open-wheel cars to the GT4-spec, a challenge that Anagnostiadis says she is excited to tackle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the 2026 season.
