Kate, 44, joined in with a clay atelier workshop at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre led by atelierista Marco Spaggiari.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"1\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cShe stopped at the table and started working with clay,\u201d Marco told T&amp;C after the Princess departed. \u201cShe said that she wanted to stay with us another hour because yeah, she\u2019s playing a lot. She\u2019s learning a lot also from the play.\u201d Marco said he was \u201cimpressed\u201d by Kate, adding, \u201cShe started to ask a lot of really beautiful questions in connection with educational environment\u2026I was impressed by the humanity of that person. It was so nice to see that she is real, you know. She had active listening, and she was making connections\u2026it was human\u2026I think it\u2019s amazing, because being the person she is, I think she can influence education around the world and to benefit children from different backgrounds. We need that in this moment of our history as humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Kate spent three months in Florence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/society\/tradition\/a71272530\/kate-middleton-italy-gap-year-florence\/\" target=\"_self\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/society\/tradition\/a71272530\/kate-middleton-italy-gap-year-florence\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"during her gap year\" data-node-id=\"8.1\" class=\"body-link css-wwtvcb emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">during her gap year<\/a> and spoke some Italian to the people she met today. She said \u201cbuongiorno\u201d and \u201carrivederci\u201d and asked people what their name was in Italian.
