Yesterday, the Princess of Wales<\/a> arrived in Reggio Emilia for a solo tour<\/a> of the Italian region, coinciding with the international expansion of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. During the overseas visit\u2014her first since her cancer treatment\u2014Kate planned a busy schedule focused on the exploration of early child development.<\/p>\n

On her second and final day, that meant a trip to Agriturismo Al Vigneto, a rural farm stay in Felino, Parma, where she learned to prepare an authentic pasta dish known as tortelli. And as she embraced the best of northern Italy\u2019s traditions, she brought along a little reminder of her own.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, the princess slipped into a pair of Camilla Elphick colorblock slingbacks: little taupe shoes with a black cap-toe detail, delicate stitching, and short stacked heel. The style, which she was first spotted in at the Royal Charity Polo Cup in 2022<\/a>, subtly played into a royal style code thanks to the sweet ring of pearls that made up the buckle. (The British royals often wear pearls<\/a> on special occasions.)<\/p>\n

As for the rest of her look, Kate wore a light-gray double-breasted blazer from Italian label BLAZE\u0301 Milano. The piece, which she debuted back in July of 2023, was designed with little white pinstripes and the brand\u2019s signature Smiley pockets\u2014giving it both a timeless and a playful touch.<\/p>\n

The princess left the piece open, revealing a white T-shirt underneath, and added a long pleated skirt to the ensemble. She broke up the muted tones with a brown belt.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the second day of her visit, Kate emphasized the importance of nature as a \u201cthird teacher,\u201d sharing on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cDay two in Reggio Emilia, where approaches to early learning come to life across schools, ateliers, and community spaces shaped by creativity and shared care. Here, attuned and attentive caregivers, alongside nature as \u2018the third teacher\u2019, nurture an immense sense of connection in the children, which is so crucial in the early years and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n
