Kate Middleton has posted a personal message on social media reflecting on her time in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia<\/a>. The Princess described her visit as \u201cdeeply moving and unforgettable\u201d and said that she had been welcomed with \u201csuch warmth and generosity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past two days in Reggio Emilia, I have seen first hand the power of nature and creativity that put human connection at the centre of a child\u2019s world,\u201d the Princess wrote in the message posted on Kensington Palace\u2019s social media accounts this afternoon after her departure. \u201cI have had such a deeply moving and unforgettable time here. Thank you to the people of Reggio Emilia for welcoming me into a culture of care with such warmth and generosity. Our collective work in early childhood must be to protect and nurture the connections that form the foundations of life-long wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales visits the “Salvador Allende” Scuola dell\u2019infanzia, to view education in nature, during the second day of her visit to Reggio Emilia.<\/p>\n

Kate finished her message with the Italian phrase \u201cGrazie di cuore,\u201d which means \u201cThank you with all my heart\u201d in English.<\/p>\n

The Princess enjoyed a whirlwind two days in Reggio Emilia<\/a> learning about their child-led and world-leading philosophy for early years education. After receiving a rapturous welcome at the city\u2019s Town Hall, she visited the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre, which is the hub for the Reggio Children philosophy. She also traveled to nursery schools, community projects and to meet business leaders.<\/p>\n

Aides said this was the beginning of the Princess of Wales taking her work with the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood global. It is understood she hopes to make other similar overseas visits to different parts of the world in the future.<\/p>\n
