Italy returns to triumph at the Rolex GP Rome.

The victory in Rolex GP of the Csio of Rome-Piazza di Siena It’s a direct gateway to the history of equestrianism. Indeed, browsing the names inscribed in the Roll of Honor of this legendary competition is like taking a journey into legend, as it features the greatest champions of all time, both foreign and Italian, including Piero D’Inzeo—the record holder with seven victories—Raimondo D’Inzeo, and Graziano Mancinelli. All the way up to Arnaldo Bologni, winner in 1994, and De Luca in 2018 (there are 24 Italians in the Roll of Honor, dating back to 1926).

Piergiorgio Bucci, born in L’Aquila in 1975, has been there alongside them since yesterday, and we will always remember those two brilliant, clean runs that none of his opponents managed to repeat. A masterpiece of technical and stylistic prowess, but also of determination, on a fine and highly intelligent horse like Pallieter vd N. Ranch, a Belgian stallion born in 2015 to champion parents Cornet Obolensky and Jolie van De Jitsberg, a daughter of Toulon. His paternal grandfather was none other than Clinton. We are among the elite of sport horse breeding, and Pallieter is its heir: gray like his famous sire, but more refined, he loves to be ridden, never forced, and therefore demands an equally refined and knowledgeable rider. Yesterday’s two clean runs at Piazza di Siena were a magnificent reflection of fine horsemanship: Bucci wore the uniform of the Italian Cavalry that he taught the world, and he carries on the legacy of that technical tradition, albeit evolved and modernized by 16 years spent between Belgium and the Netherlands to become an established champion, before returning home last year.

For the record, Martinengo-Delta and Pisani-Chacco’s Lawito also made the jump-off, finishing 7th and 10th (4/4 each). Imagine Bucci’s satisfaction and tension as, having taken the lead after a clear second, he was chased by champions like European champion Richard Vogel on Cloudio, who finished third; his aggressive compatriot Jorne Sprehe on Toys, who finished second; and American Little on La Contessa, who finished fourth. It must have been crazy to see them fail to catch him, and then his heart explode with joy at a much-needed victory. After all, Abruzzese riders like him are “craponi,” and if they get one thing into their heads… “I’m so excited,” he told us. “Winning the Grand Prix here in Rome was my childhood dream. Now I’ve achieved it.” A heartfelt embrace with Francesca Castellani, Pallieter’s inventive owner, concluded an extraordinary day for Italian equestrianism in the most humane and symbolic way.

The victory in Rolex GP of the Csio of Rome-Piazza di Siena It’s a direct gateway to the…

[4
15381,15383,15386,5,15382,15384,12418,27,15385
post-21407","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-rome","tag-bucci","tag-capital","tag-gp","tag-italy","tag-masterpiece","tag-netto","tag-returns","tag-rome","tag-triumph
["GET
